Get Good Gear
This might be the most fun thing about being a travel blogger! I love sharing my tried-and-tested travel gear tips with you guys. Testing out travel gear in real world adventures is not only fun but extremely important. Here are some of my favorite pieces of travel gear that I highly recommend and can't wait to write about next!
Get a Good Deal
No matter if you're on the Web or their app, Hotwire, is a convenient place to book lodging, car rental, airfare, and vacation packages. I've used Hotwire numerous times, and each time I've been blown away by the savings.
Just recently, I saved over $100 on a rental car just by booking through Hotwire! The website is easy-to-use and the app is even better. I've even used Hotwire to save on a last minute booking when plans suddenly changed while on the road. Hotwire's always got you covered.

Get a Guide
One of the first things I do when I book a trip is head over to Lonely Planet to get my trusty guide. I rely heavily on these guides to help structure my trip itinerary and find unique, worthwhile things to see, do and eat.
I especially love the pocket guides, which are easy to pack and convenient when on-the-go in busy city streets. What I love most about Lonely Planet: the focus on culture and history.
I've had some amazing travel experiences that I would had I been relying solely on Trip Advisor, Yelp or blogs alone. Don't believe me? Get your first guide today.
Protect Your Memories
One of the best ways to save your memorable travel moments is by journaling. I've taken to keeping a travel journal as a way to collect my travel memories and keep notes on future blog posts. I also use my journal for travel planning, that way I'll have my notes with me when I'm traveling and later when I'm writing. Here are a few of my favorite travel journals.
Make a Plan
For those of you planning a visit to the US, let me start by saying "Welcome!" I'm sure planning a trip to the United States can be overwhelming. I've found a resource to help get you started, no matter where you're visiting from.
You can easily sum up the United States in one word: vast. It's the 3rd largest country in the world, with a whopping population of approximately 321 million! With its rich history, vibrant cities and breathtaking landscapes, it’s a fascinating place to visit. With so much to offer it's no wonder people are drawn to visit the US. 1Cover’s USA Survival Guide is packed full of hot tips and good practical advice to keep you safe on your next trip to the US of A.

Protect Your Feet
Comfortable shoes are essential while traveling, especially if you are planning to be active. I usually opt for shoes that can double as active wear and stylish comfort shoes.
I really like brands like Clarks, Baretraps, Patagonia and many more. Check out a few of my best picks below!
Protect Your Skin
I'm not sure about you, but my skin is really important to me. I've found some great travel-friendly versions of my favorite beauty products, all of which I use regularly when not traveling.
Protect Your Possessions
Having your personal belongings stolen while traveling sounds like a travel nightmare! I've heard the horror stories, but, thankfully, I've never been the victim of pick-pocketing, slashing or robbery.
Still, my personal safety and the safety of my belongings is a high priority. That's why I choose to carry and use PacSafe products.
Pacsafe offers a complete line of luggage including carry-on and purses that are slash- and puncture-proof. Their patented technology protects your gear, your electronics and now even your identity! Check out some of my favorites!
Protect Your Camera
Every traveler deserves to know their most-prized possessions are safe while traveling. That’s why I use the PacSafe Carrysafe camera strap. I personally love knowing that my camera is always safe from slashers no matter where I am. The strap is not only functional, it's also super comfy! It helps protect my neck from the strain of carrying my heavy camera all day.
Movies that Inspire Me to Travel
Just like traveling, movies can be transformative. I've seen some amazing films over the past few years, some of which were travel or destination-related.
Foreign films are a safe, easy way to begin exploring cultures other than your own. Not sure where to turn to find a good foreign film? I've got a few here to get you started!
Books that Inspire Me to Travel
There's nothing better than settling down with a great novel, especially when I'm unable to travel. I love novels and books that transport me to another world, another place or another time.
A great travel story really helps feed the travel bug when the budget doesn't allow for an escape. Here are a few of my favorites!
