Whether you're going to New Orleans for Mardi Gras or just to have a good time, don't overlook the shopping scene in the Crescent City. In fact, exploring the local boutiques and markets is one of my favorite things to do in New Orleans. I love shopping for vintage treasure, unusual jewelry, or Louisiana-inspired home decor when I'm visiting New Orleans. And, chances are, you will too! Why You Should Make Time to Shop in New Orleans
It's true, there are SO many things to do in New Orleans you might find it hard to make time for shopping. But anyone interested in supporting local artistry or having a true NOLA experience should make shopping a priority. Some of my favorite travel shopping experiences involve some of the places listed here.

Frenchmen Art Market
By far the most fun place to shop for locally made arts, crafts, and jewelry, the Frenchmen Art Market is probably THE best place to shop in New Orleans. As you'll see below, there are lots of great shops and boutiques throughout the city, but this market condenses the best of the city into a fun nighttime market. It recently moved, but I'm sure the market is better than ever!
New Orleans Silversmiths
Located right in the heart of the French Quarter, New Orleans Silversmiths is a great place for vintage or vintage-inspired jewelry, particularly sterling silver estate jewelry. If you or someone you love is a vintage jewelry fan, definitely DO NOT MISS this shop!

This carefully curated vintage shop is outside the city, but Lili Vintage Boutique is worth the drive. It's the perfect place to find a gorgeous piece of vintage clothing or jewelry. Plus, Lili Vintage is very affordable. Score!!! Online shop available

I've loved this spot for years. If you're in the market for great deals on designer duds, then be sure to visit UAL while in the French Quarter. It's ideal for any fashionista! Online shop available
